BLADE SHARPENING
& SALES

Bandsaw Blade Sharpening Service:
-Were you a Wood-Mizer ReSharp customer?
-Have you had blades sharpened by other shops and had them underperform?
-Bring dull useless blades back to life with professional sharpening and tooth setting services
-Blades are sharpened on commercial equipment using oil lubricated CBN wheels to higher quality cutting performance than from the factory
-We bring engineering level detail to every blade sharpening, including cleaning, inspecting, sharpening, and setting to factory specs

What We Can Sharpen:
-All blade profiles common to Wood-Mizer up to 2 inches wide and most other manufacturers serving the portable sawmill industry
-Call if you are unsure if your blades are compatible

Pricing:
-$10 up to 209″ long for standard alloys ($30 carbide)
-Inquire for longer blades
Additional fees:
-If the blade is extremely dirty (sappy or rusty) extra cleaning could incur a fee of up to $3 per blade
-If the teeth or blades are pushed beyond normal service wear, this could require extra sharpening which could incur a fee of up to $3 per blade

Sometimes blades cannot be resharpened. Reasons to reject blades include:
1. The blade is coil set (the blade is over-stressed and will fold on itself)
2. The blade is missing two or more teeth in a row
3. The blade has been twisted or bent
4. The blade band is too low for the sharpener (the blade has been sharpened too many times/too much material has already been ground from the blade)
5. The blade has no set on one of its sides
6. Severe rust is present
7. The blade has tooth spacing or profile uncommon to Wood-Mizer blades

Properly sharpened blades can actually hold an edge just as long, provide new blade cut quality, and generally cut even flatter than new blades due to a cutting edge that is now perpendicular to the wood grain, unlike new blades!
The secret to a perfect sharpening is not just in the equipment, but in the details of each and every blade. Our sharpening process includes cleaning each blade, fully inspecting for damage and cracks, performing a full profile grind, and manually setting each tooth to proper specifications. Unlike the big shops, this is not a “set it and forget it” process which leads to sporadic results and random quality failures. You can trust our process with each and every blade.
